Dear Shipoween Writer!
Thank you for offering my fandoms and having a look at this letter, and I'm sorry I didn't manage to get this letter up together with my sign-up. I hope it will still be helpful to you, though! I’m @dust_motes.ao3.org on AO3, I’m very excited for this exchange, and I’m sure I’ll love what you will write for me. I would be equally happy to match on any of my fandoms/ships—if some have less prompts than others, it’s because my imagination is lacking, not because I love them any less.
If you find such a thing useful, I recently requested most of the ships I'm requesting now either in the Darkest Night exchange or in Multifandom Tropefest. If any of the freeform tags I asked for there inspire you, feel free to use it; I'm still very much interested in reading about all of them. If not, my general likes (more specific list below) tend to stray away both from utter tragedy and warm and fuzzy feelings. I like conflict and challenges our heroes need to overcome before the end and I like if getting together costs them something or teaches them something not very nice about themselves. I like porn (kink/tropes likes further below) and plot and character studies equally much, so write whatever fits your idea the best.
I mostly requested No Theme freeform this time around. Castlevania and Legend of the Sword got Spooky as well, for canons being, well, what they are. In those cases, feel free to lean into horror/dark magic aspects of canon as much as you want. Ghosts? Great. They lose their humanity due to fighting monsters/dabbling with ancient powers? I'll roll with it. Body horror? Always up my alley. And while I didn't request Seasonal theme, it is autumn here and I enjoy autumn so if you wanted to include an autumnal element, don't hold yourself back.
